History
Originally known as Central Place, the mall first opened its doors in 1990. It underwent a significant renaming and rebranding to Hougang Mall in 2006, coinciding with a major renovation project that modernized its facilities and expanded its retail offerings. Further upgrading works were carried out in 2011 and between 2014 and 2015 to enhance the shopping environment and improve accessibility.
