Hossam Arafat (footballer)

Hossam Arafat Abdalla Hassan (Arabic: حسام عرفات عبدالله حسن; born 18 January 1990) is an Egyptian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder. As of the latest available information, he is a member of ENPPI, a club competing in the Egyptian Premier League.

Early life and youth career
Arafat was born in Mansoura, Egypt. He began his football development with the youth academy of El Mansoura SC, where he played from 2007 to 2009.

Arafat made his professional debut with Zamalek SC, one of Egypt’s most prominent clubs, where he recorded 18 league appearances and scored once. He later spent a brief loan spell at Petrojet in 2013 before moving permanently to Ghazl El‑Mahalla for the 2013‑14 season. In 2014 he joined Wadi Degla SC, remaining there for seven years. In 2021 he transferred to ENPPI SC, where he continues his career, wearing the number 7 jersey.

International career

Arafat has represented Egypt at youth levels. He earned seven caps and scored two goals for the Egypt U‑20 team between 2008 and 2009, participating in the 2009 FIFA U‑20 World Cup hosted by Egypt. In 2010, he made two appearances and scored once for the Egypt U‑23 side.
