The Hospital Luas stop is a light rail station located in Tallaght, a suburb of South Dublin, Ireland. It is a stop on the Red Line of the Luas, Dublin's light rail system. The station opened on September 28, 2004, as part of the initial phase of the Red Line’s development.
The stop is situated on a branch of the Red Line that terminates at the Tallaght stop. It is located on the High Street, positioned between the Cookstown and Tallaght stops. Its primary purpose is to serve the Tallaght University Hospital (formerly known as the Adelaide and Meath Hospital, incorporating the National Children's Hospital), which is located immediately adjacent to the station.
The infrastructure of the Hospital Luas stop consists of two lateral platforms. Like other stations on the Luas network, it is equipped with automated ticket machines, shelters, real-time passenger information displays, and closed-circuit television (CCTV) for security. The stop is designed to be fully accessible to passengers with mobility impairments, featuring ramped access to the platforms.
In addition to the hospital, the stop provides access to several residential developments, local businesses, and administrative offices in the Tallaght area. It is operated by Transdev on behalf of Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII).
