Horten Station (Norwegian: Horten stasjon) was a railway station located in the town of Horten in Vestfold, Norway. It served as the terminus for the Horten Line (Hortenlinjen), a branch line that connected the town to the Vestfold Line at Skoppum.
The station was officially opened on October 7, 1881, coinciding with the completion of the Grevskapsbanen (now known as the Vestfold Line). The station building was designed by architect Balthazar Lange in the Swiss chalet style, which was a standard architectural aesthetic for Norwegian railway stations during the late 19th century.
The primary function of Horten Station was to provide transportation for the town's residents and the significant military presence at Karljohansvern, the main base for the Royal Norwegian Navy at the time. Due to its location as a terminus, the station played a role in the transport of both passengers and freight to the coastal town.
Passenger traffic at Horten Station was discontinued in 2002. Following the closure of the line to regular traffic, the station building has been preserved, though it no longer serves a functional role in the Norwegian railway network. The tracks associated with the station have been largely decommissioned or removed as part of local urban development and the conversion of the former railway path into a pedestrian and cycle way.
