Holly Montag (born September 15, 1983) is an American reality television personality and actress. She is primarily known for her recurring appearances on the MTV reality series The Hills and her participation in broadcast competition programs.
Montag was born in Crested Butte, Colorado, to parents Darlene Egelhoff and Bill Montag. She gained public recognition as the elder sister of Heidi Montag, one of the central cast members of The Hills. Holly Montag appeared on the series starting in its fourth season (2008) and continued through its conclusion in 2010. During her tenure on the show, she was often featured in storylines concerning her sister's personal relationships and family dynamics.
In 2009, Montag appeared as a contestant on the second season of the NBC reality series I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!. She entered the competition mid-season as a replacement for her sister and brother-in-law, Spencer Pratt, who had withdrawn from the show. Montag finished the competition in sixth place.
In addition to her television work, Montag has been involved in several creative and professional endeavors, including writing and performing. She attended the University of Colorado Boulder before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Since the conclusion of The Hills, Montag has largely transitioned away from the public spotlight to focus on her personal life and private professional interests.
