Herminio "Herm" Urenda (born November 17, 1946) is a former American professional football player who played as a defensive back in the National Football League (NFL). He is primarily known for his tenure with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Early Life and College Career Urenda played college football at the University of Arizona, where he excelled as a defensive back. His collegiate performance earned him recognition and led to his selection in the NFL Draft.
Professional Career Urenda was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 12th round (321st overall) of the 1968 NFL Draft. He played for the Chiefs for two seasons, from 1968 to 1969. During his rookie year in 1968, he appeared in 14 games. In 1969, Urenda was a member of the Kansas City Chiefs team that achieved a historic victory in Super Bowl IV, defeating the Minnesota Vikings. Although primarily a reserve player, he contributed to the team's championship season. He concluded his professional playing career after the 1969 season.
