Herbert Hodgson (14 January 1893 – 21 May 1964) was an English first-class cricketer who played for Yorkshire in 1920 and 1921, and for Northamptonshire from 1922 to 1932.
Born in Leeds, Yorkshire, Hodgson was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He began his first-class career with Yorkshire, playing two matches for the county before moving to Northamptonshire.
His career at Northamptonshire spanned a decade, during which he became a consistent all-rounder for the team. In 1931, he achieved his career-best bowling figures of 7 for 34 against Leicestershire. He was also a capable batsman, scoring four first-class centuries, with a top score of 106.
Across his first-class career, Hodgson played 193 matches, scoring 6,436 runs at an average of 21.03 and taking 375 wickets at an average of 30.12. He passed away in Bradford, Yorkshire, at the age of 71.
