Heine Fernandez (born May 14, 1966) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a forward. He is best known for his prolific goal-scoring in the Danish Superliga during the late 1980s and 1990s, where he represented several prominent clubs.
Career
Fernandez began his professional career with Viborg FF, where he quickly established himself as a talented goal-scorer. His performances earned him a move to Silkeborg IF, where he continued his goal-scoring form.
In 1991, Fernandez joined AGF Aarhus, one of Denmark's oldest and most successful clubs. It was during his time at AGF that he reached the peak of his career, becoming one of the league's most feared strikers. He was the top scorer in the Danish Superliga during the 1992-93 season with 27 goals, helping AGF finish in a strong position. He also had a brief spell with German club VfL Osnabrück during his career.
Following his successful period at AGF, Fernandez moved to FC Copenhagen in 1995. He continued to be a significant goal threat for the capital club, further solidifying his reputation as one of the Superliga's most consistent forwards. He later returned to AGF for another stint before concluding his career.
While Fernandez was a prominent figure in Danish club football, he did not earn any caps for the senior Danish national team, though he did represent Denmark at various youth levels.
