Harry Hiestand

Harry Hiestand is an American football coach primarily known for his extensive career as an offensive line coach at both the collegiate and National Football League (NFL) levels. He is widely regarded for his ability to develop highly skilled offensive linemen, many of whom have gone on to successful professional careers.

Early Life and Playing Career Hiestand played college football as an offensive guard at East Stroudsburg University from 1977 to 1980. After his playing career, he quickly transitioned into coaching.

    • Notre Dame (2001-2004): His first stint with the Fighting Irish, where he began to establish his reputation for developing linemen.

    • Notre Dame (2012-2017): Returned to Notre Dame for a highly successful second stint. During this period, he coached multiple future NFL Draft picks, including Zack Martin, Ronnie Stanley, Quenton Nelson, and Mike McGlinchey, solidifying Notre Dame's reputation for offensive line development.
