Harold Neufeld

Harold Neufeld (born April 13, 1930) is a Canadian former politician who served in the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party. He represented the provincial electoral district of Rossmere from 1988 to 1993 and served as a cabinet minister in the administration of Premier Gary Filmon.

Prior to his entry into provincial politics, Neufeld was a professional chartered accountant. He first sought election to the Manitoba Legislature in the 1988 general election, where he defeated the incumbent New Democratic Party representative, Vic Schroeder, in the Rossmere constituency. Following his victory, he was appointed to the provincial cabinet as the Minister of Energy and Mines, and he also held responsibility for the Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board.

Neufeld was re-elected in the 1990 general election. During his second term, he continued his ministerial duties until his resignation from the cabinet in 1992. He subsequently resigned his seat in the Legislative Assembly in 1993, returning to his career in the private sector. Throughout his political career, Neufeld was noted for his focus on fiscal management and the oversight of the province's energy resources.
