Hans Klinga (born April 17, 1949) is a Swedish actor and director who has maintained a prominent career in Scandinavian theater, film, and television. He is most notably associated with the Royal Dramatic Theatre (Dramaten) in Stockholm, where he has been a member of the ensemble for several decades.
Klinga is widely recognized for his professional collaboration with the acclaimed director Ingmar Bergman. He appeared in several of Bergman’s stage productions and played significant roles in films written or directed by Bergman, such as The Best Intentions (1992) and Sunday's Children (1992).
In addition to his acting career, Klinga has worked extensively as a director, staging numerous plays at the Royal Dramatic Theatre. His contributions to the Swedish performing arts were formally recognized in 2001 when he was awarded the Litteris et Artibus, a royal medal presented for outstanding artistic contributions to culture, particularly music, dramatic art, and literature.
