Hando Nahkur is an Estonian classical pianist known for his career as a concert performer, recording artist, and arranger. His work encompasses a broad range of repertoire, including traditional classical music, contemporary Estonian compositions, and his own virtuoso transcriptions of popular music.
Nahkur began his musical education in Tallinn, Estonia, attending the Tallinn Music High School and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. He later moved to the United States to continue his studies at several prestigious institutions, including the New England Conservatory of Music, the Yale School of Music, and the Southern Methodist University Meadows School of the Arts. During his academic career, he studied under notable pedagogues such as Joaquin AchĂșcarro, Boris Berman, and Gabriel Chodos.
