Hörbranz is a municipality in the district of Bregenz in the westernmost Austrian state of Vorarlberg. It is situated on the eastern shore of Lake Constance (Bodensee), directly bordering Germany to the north (specifically the Bavarian city of Lindau) and Switzerland across the lake. To its south lies the city of Bregenz, the state capital of Vorarlberg.
As part of the Bodensee region, Hörbranz benefits from its proximity to both the lake and the Alps, making it a popular residential area and a destination for tourism. The municipality is characterized by a mix of residential areas, agricultural land, and some industrial zones. Its location on a major transportation axis, including the Rheintal/Walgau Autobahn (A14), provides good connectivity within Austria and to neighboring countries.
