Related Property: Gutiérrez Hubbell House
A separate, more extensively documented historic property exists under a similar name — the Gutiérrez Hubbell House (also known as the James Lawrence and Juliana Gutierrez y Chavez Hubbell House) — located at 6029 Isleta Boulevard SW, Albuquerque, New Mexico. This is a much larger territorial-style adobe hacienda whose original construction dates to the 1820s, with expansions in the 1850s and 1860s. It was added to the NRHP on May 26, 2015 (reference no. 15000491). Unlike the Magdalena property, the Gutiérrez Hubbell House has a well-documented history tied to the prominent Gutiérrez and Hubbell families, served as a stagecoach stop and trading post along the El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, and is now operated as a history and cultural center by Bernalillo County.
