Gustavo Melella (born 20 March 1975) is an Argentine politician who has served as governor of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and South Atlantic Islands since 10 December 2021. He is a member of the Justicialist Party and has been aligned with the Frente de Todos coalition at the national level.
Prior to his governorship, Melella held the following elected offices:
- Mayor of Río Grande (the largest city in Tierra del Fuego) from 2015 to 2019.
- National Deputy representing the province of Tierra del Fuego in the Argentine Chamber of Deputies from 2017 to 2021.
Melella’s political career has been focused on regional development, public administration, and infrastructure projects within his province. His tenure as governor has emphasized the promotion of tourism, improvement of public services, and strengthening of the province’s strategic position in Argentina’s southernmost territories.
