Gustav Franke (4 December 1937 – 13 November 2011) was a prominent German professional motorcycle sidecar racer. He is widely regarded as one of the most successful and influential figures in sidecar racing during the 1960s and early 1970s, making significant contributions to the sport's development and popularity.
Born in Schleswig, Germany, Franke embarked on his competitive motorcycle racing career and soon specialized in sidecar events. He quickly established himself as a formidable competitor, known for his technical skill and aggressive racing style.
Franke competed extensively in the FIM Sidecar World Championship, achieving numerous Grand Prix victories throughout his career.
