Guðmundur Þorvaldsson (frequently anglicized as Gudmundur Thorvaldsson) is an Icelandic actor and performer known for his work in theater, film, and television. He is recognized for his contributions to the Icelandic arts as well as his roles in high-profile international productions.
Thorvaldsson received his professional training at the Iceland Academy of the Arts, graduating in 1999. Following his studies, he became a frequent performer in the Icelandic theater circuit, including numerous productions with the National Theatre of Iceland and the Reykjavik City Theatre.
His filmography includes a variety of Icelandic and international titles. He appeared in the 2005 film Eleven Men Out (Strákarnir okkar) and the 2008 comedy The Higher Force (Stóra planið). In 2015, he played the lead role in the film Chasing Robert Barker, a performance that earned him a nomination for Best Actor at the National Film Awards UK.
In international television, Thorvaldsson gained visibility for his role as Remus in the Netflix fantasy series The Witcher (2019).
