Greg Razer (born December 6, 1966) is an American politician affiliated with the Democratic Party. Since January 2021, he has served as a member of the Missouri Senate representing the 3rd district, which includes portions of St. Louis County. Prior to his election to the Senate, Razer served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2013 to 2021, representing the 131st district.
Early life and education
Razer was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Missouri–St. Louis and subsequently completed a Master of Public Administration at Saint Louis University.
Career before politics
Before entering elected office, Razer worked as a deputy sheriff for the St. Louis County Police Department. He later founded and operated a small business focused on security and consulting services.
Political career

Missouri House of Representatives (2013–2021): Razer was first elected to the state House in the 2012 election cycle. During his tenure, he served on committees related to public safety, criminal justice, and health and mental health. He sponsored legislation aimed at improving community policing, expanding mental‑health services, and supporting veterans.

Missouri Senate (2021–present): After winning the 2020 Senate race, Razer assumed office in January 2021. In the Senate, he has been a member of the Judiciary and Civil and Criminal Jurisprudence Committee, the Education Committee, and the Health and Pensions Committee. His legislative priorities continue to emphasize public safety reform, educational equity, and access to health care.
Personal life
Razer resides in St. Louis County with his family. He is actively involved in local community organizations, including youth mentorship programs and neighborhood improvement initiatives.
