Grayson Murphy (American football)

Grayson Murphy (born 2002) is an American professional football player who plays as a defensive end. He played college football for the UCLA Bruins before signing as an undrafted free agent with the Miami Dolphins in 2024.

Early Life and High School Career

Murphy was born in Dallas, Texas. He attended Bishop Lynch High School, where he excelled in both football and basketball. As a defensive end, he was a highly-rated prospect known for his athleticism and pass-rushing abilities.

College Career

Murphy began his college football career at North Texas before transferring to UCLA ahead of the 2022 season, joining his twin brother, Gabriel Murphy.

UCLA (2022-2023)

At UCLA, Grayson quickly became an integral part of the Bruins' defensive line.

• 2022 Season: In his first season with UCLA, Murphy recorded 24 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss (TFL), and 2 sacks, establishing himself as a key contributor to the pass rush.
• 2023 Season: He continued to be a productive defensive end, logging 26 total tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, and one forced fumble. Following the 2023 season, he declared for the NFL Draft along with his brother.

Professional Career

Grayson Murphy was eligible for the 2024 NFL Draft. Despite a strong collegiate performance, he was not selected during the seven rounds of the draft.

Miami Dolphins
