The Grabow (German pronunciation: [ˈɡʁaːboː]) is a bodden — a lagoon-like waterbody — off the Baltic Sea, located south of the Zingst and Großer Werder peninsulas and the island group of Kleiner Werder. It lies on the coast of the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, between the cities of Stralsund and Barth, and forms the eastern part of the Darss-Zingst Bodden Chain. Its northern section belongs to the Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park (Nationalpark Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft).
The Grabow covers an area of approximately 41.5 km² and is, except near the shore, relatively deep compared to other bodden waters. Three hamlets are situated on its shores: Nisdorf and Kinnbackenhagen (both in the municipality of Groß Mohrdorf) and Dabitz (in the municipality of Kenz-Küstrow). The Grabow is a popular fishing lake.
The Darss-Zingst Bodden Chain, of which the Grabow is a part, is a series of brackish lagoons separated from the open Baltic Sea by peninsulas and islands. From west to east, the chain includes the Saaler Bodden, Permin, Koppelstrom, Bodstedter Bodden, Barther Bodden, and finally the Grabow. These waters are characterized by low salinity that increases toward the east, supporting a unique brackish-water ecosystem.
