Gorenja Vas is a settlement located in the Municipality of Kanal ob Soči in western Slovenia. It is situated in the traditional region of the Slovene Littoral and administratively falls within the Goriška statistical region. The village lies in the mountainous and hilly terrain characteristic of the area, near the Soča River valley and close to the border with Italy.
