Gordon Millen

Gordon Millen (born 18 September 1960) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a defender.

Career

Millen began his senior professional career with Motherwell in 1978. Over six seasons at Fir Park, he made 112 league appearances for the club, primarily featuring as a full-back. In 1984, he moved to Ayr United, where he spent three productive seasons, playing 107 league matches and scoring two goals.

Following his time at Ayr United, Millen joined Hamilton Academical in 1987, contributing to their squad over two seasons with 60 league appearances and two goals. He subsequently played for Partick Thistle during the 1989–90 season, making 28 league appearances, before concluding his professional career with Clydebank in the 1990–91 season, where he played 20 league matches. After leaving Clydebank, he continued to play at a junior level for clubs such as Lesmahagow Juniors.

Known for his consistent defensive performances and reliability, Millen was a regular fixture in Scottish football throughout the 1980s and early 1990s.
