Gordon Dean (Australian politician)

Gordon Dean (1919-1992) was an Australian politician. He served as a Labor Party member of the New South Wales Legislative Council from 1973 to 1981. Prior to entering state politics, Dean worked as a wool classer and a trade union official. He was an active member of the Australian Workers' Union (AWU). In the Legislative Council, he represented the interests of working-class constituents and advocated for policies supporting industry and employment within New South Wales. His political career focused primarily on representing the interests of rural and industrial workers.
