Goose River (Manitoba–Saskatchewan)

The Goose River is a minor river located in Western Canada, notable for forming a section of the provincial boundary between Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Originating in the transition zone between the prairie parkland and boreal forest, the river flows generally northward before its confluence with the Saskatchewan River.

Hydrologically, the Goose River contributes to the larger Saskatchewan River basin, a significant watershed that drains much of the Canadian Prairies. Its course is primarily rural, winding through a landscape characterized by agricultural land, mixed forest, and wetlands. The river plays a role in local drainage and supports various aquatic and riparian ecosystems, serving as habitat for regional wildlife.

As a natural feature delineating a portion of a provincial border, the Goose River holds specific geographical significance in the surveyed landscape of Western Canada.
