Gmina Firlej

Gmina Firlej is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Lubartów County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland. Its seat is the village of Firlej, which lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) north-west of Lubartów and 33 km (21 mi) north of the regional capital Lublin.

Geography

The gmina is situated in the historical region of Lesser Poland (Małopolska), specifically within the Lublin Voivodeship. It is characterized by a landscape typical of the Lublin Upland, with agricultural lands and forested areas. The Wieprz river flows nearby, and the gmina is known for its lakes, including Firlej Lake, which is a popular recreational spot.
