Glen Echo is a historic resort area and former unincorporated community located in [[Boulder County]], [[Colorado]], United States. Situated in the [[Rocky Mountains]] along the [[North Saint Vrain Creek]], approximately six miles east of the town of [[Allenspark]], it was once a popular mountain retreat, particularly for residents of [[Denver]] and other Front Range communities.
The Glen Echo Resort was established in the early 20th century, with its peak period generally regarded as spanning from the 1910s through the mid-20th century. It featured a main lodge, numerous private cabins, and various amenities designed to attract tourists seeking recreation in the high country, including fishing, hiking, and appreciation of the scenic mountain environment. Its strategic location offered relatively convenient access to the nascent [[Rocky Mountain National Park]] region.
