Gizela Farkaš (born October 24, 1942) is a former track and field athlete who represented Yugoslavia, specializing in middle-distance running.
Farkaš’s athletic career is most notably marked by her participation in the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She competed in the women's 800-meter event, finishing fourth in the first heat with a time of 2:08.7. This performance did not qualify her for the final round, but it established her as a leading regional competitor during an era when women's middle-distance events were beginning to gain broader inclusion in international programs.
At the national level, Farkaš was a prominent figure in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia's sports system. She was a member of the Spartak Subotica athletics club, based in Subotica (modern-day Serbia). During the 1960s, she secured multiple national championship titles in both the 800-meter and 1,500-meter disciplines and held several national records.
