Giovanni Ricca

Giovanni Ricca (born 1968 in Lecce, Italy) is an Italian politician. He has held various public offices at both national and local levels throughout his career.

Ricca began his political involvement in the centre-right camp. He was a member of the Alleanza Nazionale (National Alliance) party.

His notable political roles include:

  • Member of the Chamber of Deputies: From 2001 to 2006, Ricca served as a Deputy in the Italian Parliament, representing the XIV Legislature. During this period, he was part of the Alleanza Nazionale parliamentary group.
  • Mayor of San Cesario di Lecce: He was elected Mayor of San Cesario di Lecce, a municipality in the Province of Lecce, and took office in 2018. He was subsequently re-elected for a second term.
  • Local Administration: Prior to his mayoral role, Ricca served as a Provincial Councillor for the Province of Lecce and as a City Councillor for the Municipality of Lecce, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to local governance in his home region.
