Description
Gibbovalva magnoliae is a small moth characterized by narrow forewings typical of gracillariid leaf‑miners. The adult wingspan ranges from 6.5 to 8.5 mm. The forewings are generally ochreous‑brown with distinctive darker longitudinal striations and a series of pale spots near the termen. The hindwings are a uniform grayish color with a fringe of fine hairs. Detailed genitalia morphology, used for species confirmation, follows the diagnostic pattern established for the genus Gibbovalva (Kumata, 1998).
