Gianni Rizzo (5 April 1925 – 4 February 1992) was an Italian film actor. Born in Brindisi, Apulia, he began his screen career in the mid‑1940s and remained active in cinema and television until the mid‑1980s, appearing in more than seventy productions.
Rizzo was a prolific character actor who worked across a variety of popular Italian genre films. His roles encompassed supporting parts in peplum (sword‑and‑sandal) epics, spy thrillers, and spaghetti westerns. Notable appearances include The Vengeance of Ursus (1961), Zorro and the Three Musketeers (1963) (as King Philip), The Ten Gladiators (1963), Mission Stardust (1967) in which he played a villain, and a part in the television adaptation of The Name of the Rose (1986).
Rizzo’s career spanned over four decades, during which he contributed to the development of Italy’s mid‑century genre cinema. He died in Rome at the age of 66.
