Georgios Galitsios

Georgios Galitsios (Greek: Γεώργιος Γαλίτσιος; born 28 July 1990) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a right‑back or centre‑back. He has spent the majority of his career in the Greek Super League, with brief periods abroad.

Early life and youth career
Galitsios was born in Athens, Greece. He joined the youth academy of Panathinaikos FC, one of Greece’s leading clubs, where he progressed through the junior ranks.

Galitsios made his professional debut for Panathinaikos in the 2009‑10 season. In July 2013 he transferred to German side VfL Bochum, where he featured primarily as a squad player. A loan return to Greece with Panionios in early 2015 gave him regular playing time, after which he signed a permanent deal with Atromitos in January 2016. Subsequent contracts with OFI Crete and Apollon Smyrnis kept him active in Greece’s top division through the early 2020s.
