George Potter was a 19th-century British trade unionist and politician. He was a prominent figure in the London trades council movement and advocated for extended suffrage and improved working conditions. Potter founded and edited The Bee-Hive, a trade union newspaper that served as a voice for organized labor during a crucial period in British history. He played a key role in the establishment of the Trades Union Congress (TUC). While he stood for Parliament on multiple occasions, he was never elected. He is considered a significant figure in the early development of the British Labour movement.
