George Donald (February 13, 1885 – August 12, 1931) was an American Negro league shortstop who played professionally between 1907 and 1910.
Biography
Donald was born in Due West, South Carolina, and attended Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia. He made his Negro leagues debut in 1907 with the Birmingham Giants and played for Birmingham again the following season. He subsequently played for the San Antonio Black Bronchos in 1909 and the Oklahoma Monarchs in 1910. In 1910, he also served as a player-manager for the Oklahoma Monarchs, managing 11 games with a record of 3 wins and 8 losses (.273).

Over his four-season Negro league career, Donald appeared in 12 games (with partial records available), accumulating 46 at-bats, 8 hits, 2 runs scored, 2 doubles, and 1 stolen base. His career batting average was .174 with an on-base percentage of .191 and a slugging percentage of .217. He primarily played shortstop and second base and threw right-handed.
Death
Donald died in Wagoner County, Oklahoma, in 1931 at the age of 46.
