"Generation of Love" is a song recorded by the German Eurodance band Masterboy. It was released on June 2, 1995, by Barclay and Polydor Records as the first single from the band's fourth studio album, also titled Generation of Love (1995). The female vocals on the track were performed by band member Trixi Delgado.

Background and Release

The song was written by Beatrice Obrecht, Tommy Schleh, Luke Skywalker, and Enrico Zabler, and was produced by Masterboy at Session Studios in Walldorf, Germany. It was recorded in 1994 and released in June 1995. The B-side of the single contained a remix version.

Music Video

The accompanying music video was directed by Jonathan Bate in the summer of 1995 and filmed at Oil-Factory Studios in London. It was A-listed on the German music television channel VIVA in July 1995.

Chart Performance

"Generation of Love" became one of Masterboy's most commercially successful singles. It achieved notable chart positions across several European countries:

2006 Re-release

In 2006, the song was re-released in a remixed version featuring Freedom Williams and Linda Rocco. This version was included on Masterboy's 2006 studio album US-Album but was less commercially successful than the original.
