Gastón Guruceaga (born August 15, 1990) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper.
Club Career Guruceaga began his youth career at Peñarol, one of Uruguay's most successful clubs. He made his senior debut for Peñarol in 2015 and quickly established himself as the team's first-choice goalkeeper. During his tenure with Peñarol, he played a crucial role in the club winning the Uruguayan Primera División title in the 2015–16 and 2017 seasons.
In 2018, he was loaned to Club Bolívar in Bolivia. Following his return to Uruguay, he joined Club Cerro in 2019. He then moved to Paraguay, playing for Club Guaraní from 2020 to 2022. In 2023, Guruceaga returned to Uruguayan football, joining Liverpool F.C. (Montevideo), where he was part of the squad that won the Uruguayan Primera División. He later joined River Plate (Uruguay).
International Career Guruceaga has represented Uruguay at various youth levels. He was part of the Uruguay U-20 squad that participated in the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt, although he did not make any appearances in the tournament. He has not received a cap for the senior Uruguayan national team.
