Garmdarreh (Persian: گرمدره) is a city in the Central District of Karaj County, Alborz province, Iran. It serves as the administrative center for Garmdarreh Rural District.
Location: Garmdarreh is situated approximately 35 kilometers west of Tehran, within the Tehran metropolitan region, at coordinates 35°44′52″N 51°04′04″E.
History: In 2004, the village of Garmdarreh merged with the surrounding villages of Kuhak, Amirabad, Qaleh-ye Salar Nasriyeh-ye Garmdarreh, Sa'adatiyeh-ye Qadim, and Sa'adatiyeh-ye Now, and was officially established as a city.
Demographics: According to the 2016 National Census, Garmdarreh had a population of 22,726 people living in 7,129 households. At the time of the 2006 census, the population was 12,738 in 3,329 households, when the area was still part of Tehran province. The county was later separated from Tehran province with the establishment of Alborz province.

Etymology: The name "Garmdarreh" (گرمدره) is Persian in origin. "Garm" (گرم) means "warm" and "darreh" (دره) means "valley," thus the name translates to "Warm Valley." It is also romanized as Garm Darreh and known as Garmdarreh-ye Pā'īn.
