Fromuz (also stylized as FROM.UZ) is an Uzbek progressive‑rock and jazz‑fusion band formed in 2004 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The group was founded by guitarist Vitaly Popeloff, bassist Andrew Mara‑Novik, drummer Vladimir Badirov, and keyboardist Albert Khalmurzaev. Origin and Musical Style
The band emerged from Tashkent’s emerging rock scene and blends progressive‑rock structures with jazz‑fusion improvisation. Their instrumental sound draws on influences such as King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Yes, Jethro Tull, Miles Davis, Led Zeppelin, Jeff Beck and Rush.
