Frederik Frison

Frederik Frison (born 27 July 1992) is a Belgian professional road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam [[Lotto–Dstny]]. Known primarily as a powerful [[domestique]] and [[rouleur]], Frison is valued for his ability to work for team leaders, control breakaways, and perform strongly in the [[spring classics]].

Career

Early Career

Frison began his cycling journey as a junior rider, showing early promise in time trials and flat races. He progressed through the ranks, eventually joining the Lotto–Belisol U23 development team in 2012. During his time in the U23 category, he gained experience in various European races, often working for more prominent teammates while also securing some personal results.

Professional Career

Frison turned professional with [[Lotto–Soudal]] (now Lotto–Dstny) in 2016, and has remained with the team throughout his professional career. His role within the team has consistently been that of a crucial support rider. He is frequently seen at the front of the peloton, setting pace, chasing down attacks, and protecting his team leaders.

He has participated in several [[Grand Tour]]s, including the [[Giro d'Italia]] and [[Vuelta a España]], demonstrating his endurance and commitment to team objectives over multiple weeks of racing. Frison is also a regular participant in the demanding [[Flanders cycling classic|spring classics]], such as [[Paris–Roubaix]], [[Tour of Flanders]], and [[Gent–Wevelgem]], where his strength and resilience are invaluable on the cobbled roads and exposed terrains.

While his primary role is to assist team leaders, Frison has occasionally been given opportunities to pursue personal results. He has achieved top finishes in several smaller races and has consistently demonstrated strong performances in challenging conditions.
