Fox is a lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon. It is located to the northwest of the larger crater Wyld, and east-northeast of the crater Trumpler.
The rim of Fox is somewhat eroded, with a few small craters along the edge. The interior floor is relatively level, with a central peak formation. Several tiny craterlets mark the floor. Overall, the crater lacks significant distinguishing features.
It is named after American physicist Frederick Eugene Fox.
