Filip Bernadowski (born 20 June 1979 in Łódź, Poland) is a Polish former competitive ice dancer.
Career
Early partnership with Karolina Dobrodziej
Bernadowski began his competitive career at the junior level with partner Karolina Dobrodziej. During the 1996–1997 season, they competed at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships, where they placed 20th.
Partnership with Aleksandra Kauc (1997–2001)
From 1997 to 2001, Bernadowski competed with partner Aleksandra Kauc. The duo won the Polish junior national ice dance title in 1998 and 1999, and later earned bronze medals at the senior Polish Figure Skating Championships in 2000 and 2001. They represented Poland at the World Figure Skating Championships (17th place in 2000), the European Figure Skating Championships (22nd place in 2001), and the World Junior Figure Skating Championships (8th place in both 1998 and 1999). Their Grand Prix debut came at the 2000 Skate Canada International, where they placed 8th. Early in their partnership, they were coached by Bożena Bernadowska (Bernadowski's mother) and later worked with Maria Olszewska-Lelonkiewicz. The partnership ended in 2002 following a knee injury sustained by Kauc.
Post-competitive career
Following his retirement from competitive skating, Bernadowski began performing professionally. He appeared on the Polish television series Gwiazdy tańczą na lodzie (the Polish adaptation of Dancing on Ice). In the first season (2007), he partnered with Anna Popek and placed 4th. In the second season (2008), he partnered with Karolina Nowakowska and placed 6th. In the third season, he partnered with Katarzyna Zielińska and placed 3rd.
Personal life
Bernadowski's younger brother, Maciej Bernadowski (born 1989), also competed in ice dancing at the international level. Their mother, Bożena Bernadowska, is a figure skating coach and choreographer who coached both of her sons. Filip Bernadowski resides in Łódź, Poland.
