Fergus O'Neill

Fergus O'Neill (born c. 1928, died 1989) was an Australian rules footballer and administrator. He is primarily known for his association with the Melbourne Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL), where he served both as a player and later as a prominent club president.

O'Neill played 59 senior games for the Melbourne Football Club between 1948 and 1952. After his playing career, he remained involved with the club and eventually became its president. He served as president from 1977 to 1985, a period that included significant challenges for the club both on and off the field. His presidency is noted for his efforts to stabilize and rebuild the club during a difficult era.
