History The institution was founded in 1921 by Dr. William H. Jordan as the Omaha Bible Institute in Omaha, Nebraska. Its initial purpose was to train Christian workers for various ministries. In 1946, the school was renamed Omaha Baptist Bible Institute to reflect its increasingly Baptist identity. Seeking a larger campus and opportunities for growth, the institution relocated to Ankeny, Iowa, in 1967 and adopted its current name, Faith Baptist Bible College. The theological seminary division was later established to offer graduate-level education. Over its history, the college has maintained a consistent focus on a conservative theological position and the inerrancy of Scripture.
