Every Woman Knows a Secret is a 1999 British television drama series written by William Humble, based on the 1996 novel of the same name by Rosie Thomas. The series aired on ITV from 18 March to 1 April 1999, consisting of three 60-minute episodes. It was both set and filmed in Berkshire, England.

Plot

The series stars Siobhan Redmond as Jess Arrowsmith, a divorced woman in her forties whose son Danny is killed in a drunk-driving car crash. Jess shocks her family and friends by beginning an intense love affair with Rob (played by Paul Bettany), the young man who was driving the car that caused her son's death. The story also follows Jess's daughter Beth, who is having an affair with a man twice her age, leading to various revelations within the family.

Production
