Eve Marama Morrell Palmer is a New Zealand television presenter and actress.
Biography
Palmer was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, to television producers Tony Palmer and Janine Morrell-Gunn. Her mother is Māori of the Ngāti Kahungunu iwi. Her sister, Grace Palmer, is also an actress. Palmer has two half-siblings, Faith and Louis Gunn, through her mother's second marriage to producer and presenter Jason Gunn.
Career
Palmer's first television role was as a field reporter for The Erin Simpson Show in 2009. When the programme was renamed The 4.30 Show in 2014, Palmer became the presenter. In 2016, the programme was again renamed The Adam and Eve Show, and Palmer co-presented alongside Adam Percival.
In 2020, she created and co-starred in the comedy web series Good Grief (2021–2022), alongside her sister Grace. The series follows two sisters who inherit a funeral home. Palmer also served as a writer on the series. She has appeared as a guest star on the American comedy series Animal Control (2023–) and has directed episodes of the New Zealand series Home, Land & Sea (2021–2024). Her earlier acting credits include the short film Bulb (2008) and the television film Jawbone (2015).
Personal life
In 2020, Palmer married her television co-host Adam Percival. The couple have a daughter. As an adult, Palmer has pursued tertiary education in Māori language and culture, completing a course in Te Ara Reo Māori (Māori Language Path) at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa in 2023.
