Euthecosomata is a taxonomic suborder of pelagic marine gastropod mollusks within the order Thecosomata. Members of this group are commonly referred to as “sea butterflies” because they possess a delicate, often coiled shell and wing‑like parapodia that they beat to swim through the water column.
