Description
Eulamprotes isostacta is a species of micro‑moth in the family Gelechiidae. Adults have a wingspan of approximately 12–14 mm. The forewings are generally greyish‑brown with indistinct darker markings and a subtle pattern of streaks and spots typical of the genus. The hindwings are uniformly greyish‑brown and fringed. Detailed morphological characteristics were originally described by Edward Meyrick in his 1920 work on South African microlepidoptera.

Distribution and Habitat
The species has been recorded from South Africa, with confirmed presence in the KwaZulu‑Natal province. Like other members of the genus, it is presumed to inhabit open to semi‑open habitats where host plants for the larval stage are available, although specific ecological data are limited.

Life History
Information on the larval host plants, developmental stages, and behavior of E. isostacta is currently lacking in the scientific literature. As with many gelechiid moths, larvae are expected to feed internally on plant tissues (e.g., mining leaves or feeding within stems), but no species‑specific observations have been documented.

Taxonomic Notes
The species was originally described under the name Gelechia isostacta by Meyrick and later transferred to the genus Eulamprtes. No synonymy or significant taxonomic revisions have been reported since the original description.
