Erik Pettersson is a Swedish former weightlifter who competed in international competitions. He is best known for winning a bronze medal at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City in the 82.5 kg weight class. Pettersson also won a silver medal at the 1969 World Weightlifting Championships and a bronze medal at the 1970 World Weightlifting Championships. He achieved multiple Swedish national titles throughout his career. After retiring from competitive weightlifting, he remained involved in the sport.
