Eois amarillada is a species of moth in the family Geometridae. It was first described by the French entomologist Paul Dognin in 1893 under the original name Cambogia amarillada. It is currently classified within the genus Eois, a hyperdiverse pantropical genus of geometrid moths.
Taxonomy
The species was originally described by Dognin as Cambogia amarillada in 1893. It was later transferred to the genus Eois, where it is currently placed. The type locality is in Ecuador.
Distribution
Eois amarillada is recorded from Ecuador. The genus Eois is predominantly Neotropical, with the majority of described species occurring in the tropical Andes region.
