Enontekiö (Finnish: Enontekiö; Northern Sámi: Eanodat) is a municipality located in the Lapland region of Finland. Situated in the far northwest of the country, it is part of the Fell Lapland sub-region and is known for its vast wilderness, fells (tunturit), and pristine natural environment.
Geography: Enontekiö is one of Finland's largest municipalities by area, but also one of its most sparsely populated. It borders Sweden to the west and Norway to the north and northwest. The municipality is characterized by its high fells, including Halti, which, at 1,324 meters (4,344 ft), contains Finland's highest point (Ridnitšohkka, a shoulder of Halti, is the highest point entirely within Finland).
