Enbarr (also spelled Aenbarr or Énbarr) is a magical horse in Irish mythology, renowned for its incredible speed and its ability to travel over both land and sea. It is typically associated with the sea-god Manannán mac Lir and his daughter, Niamh of the Golden Hair.
As Manannán's steed, Enbarr is described as being "swifter than the wind" and capable of traversing the waves without wetting its hooves. Its most famous role in mythology is its part in the story of Oisín, a warrior and poet of the Fianna. Niamh uses Enbarr to carry Oisín from Ireland across the sea to Tír na nÓg, the Land of Youth, where time passes differently than in the mortal world. The horse's magical properties are essential for this journey to the Otherworld.
